Nothing Interesting...

I'm starting to feel like this guy.

I can't think of anything interesting to write about. Surely there are things happening. Since my last post,

I've been to Hawaii and Missouri for work,

we entered the real estate market, and then promptly exited,

I gained new exciting responsibilities at work,

we filed our taxes,

and Pete had a epic temper tantrum (1 hour +).

And yet, none of that seems like it'd be interesting to anyone who reads this little blog.

I could probably write every day, but the interestingness of each daily entry would go down.

Let's hear it from you, the reader. Do you prefer quality or quantity? Pictures or stories? Just kid-related stuff or broader topics?

I'm expecting everyone to comment, even those of you who are intimidated.

I'm interested in every bit of it! What are your new responsibilities at work?

It's been so long since you've written that I honestly can't remember my login info! hahaha! Just kidding--although I really can't remember my login info...

Anyhow, in this instance only I'm a quantity over quality kind of girl. Indulge an office peon whose only joy from 9 to 5 is the blogs of others.

I'm still waiting on your beautifully named blog. I'll check it every day.

Also, for everyone's edification, I think you don't have to create a login to leave a comment. I think you can just click the "other" button, fill in any name you choose, verify your humanity by reading the psychedelic letters, and publish your comment.

Try it, it's fun.

Interestingness is totally a word. What would you suggest to convey the same meaning? Interestingity?

AMOUNT OF INTEREST

Dear God,

"Amount of interest" doesn't capture the same meaning, in my opinion. Plus, I've read the bible, and grammar is not your strong suit.

I find it all interesting. All though... There is something to be said for spending less time at the computer. :)

You realize you are stating your opinion on grammar, to the almighty himself? That being said, I agree those hacks that intepreted my words really screwed the pooch in that book. There weren't many educational opportunites back then, and I was caught in a tight spot. On the one hand I could have the rich educated sorts write the book, but it wouldn't hold the same credibility, therefore, I had to use the best educated of the dreg.

Please don't make me smite you.

A-rock,

I'm in for all of it. i say post often, but not too often - i mean, make sure the "interestingness" stays interesting. ... what about that haiku-a-day thing?

I agree with whoever said less time at the computer is a good thing. BUT, if posts come less than a few times a week fan support could drop.

totally quantity. the thing is, if you post every day and i'm not in the mood to read, i won't. but when i'm bored at work i could being completely enchanted by at-home haircuts and personalized t-shirts. and ya know, i don't think posting every day will diminish the moments of blogging genius. say you have a blog genius moment now once a week, even if you're blogging 7 days a week that one a week will still probably be there. and maybe even more b/c your whole life will be validated by the blog audience. you'll wake up thinking about how to impress your blog audience. and i think that's a really good way to live.

and that flickr thing is a nightmare, post some pics in the regular section.

All,

I think we may be in the market for a quality internet connection at home. That will definitely help the frequency issue.

Also, I'm trying to cajole Heather into participating. She's an entertaining writer, very likely to steal my spotlight.

Flickr: I've heard from a few sources that the way I'm doing pictures doesn't work too well, which perplexes me because it seems to work fine for me. You can always click on the "click here for my flickr pics" if the little preview pictures aren't showing correctly. At any rate, I'll have to get in the habit of posting more pictures directly anyway.

Thanks for the input.

Well, I've been, I don't know, "trying to survive my life" lately, and haven't checked this in more than a month, but the quality AND the quantity caught me up and made me feel connected to some kind of goodness in this world. So that was nice. Actually, I'm rather askew emotionally, and petey's birthday tribute made me cry. So thanks for reminding me that I know good families. And that I'm a human.

I forgot my name/password combo and it always takes too long to figure it out, so I'm posting as an "other."

Love! Carinna
